The Daydreamer shawl is a fun, simple knitting pattern that will allow you to practice knit increases for shaping fabric, while creating a gorgeous light and airy shawl. This shawl is is perfect to wrap up with on a cool spring or summer morning walk. The shawl begins with a 9 stitch garter tab cast on (video demo is linked to in the pattern), and is worked from the top down.
Materials:
To make this shawl, you will need the following materials:
- 2.25 skeins (Approx. 550 yards) Knit Picks Simply Alpaca Aran Weight Yarn; Colour: Alaina.
- US size 8 (5.0 mm) circular knitting needles (min 32” cord).
- 2 stitch markers.
- Scissors.
- Tapestry/yarn needle (for weaving in ends).
Measurements & Gauge:
Wingspan : 68" Depth : 29".
Gauge : 17 stitches, 22 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch.
Skill Level: Intermediate.
